FREE digital marketing calendar download for tourism operators!

YESSSS we took the free Social Media Content Calendar Template from HubSpot (we love da Hub!!) and made it EVEN BETTER! We added some key dates and events you might like to plan for and feature in your social posts over the next few months.

You can use the free Digital Marketing Planning Calendar Template from our sister business ecoconscious travel for planning out your marketing campaigns, new product launches and updates, and for ideas on national and international days that you want to talk about in your social posts and other content.

Personally, I can't wait for Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19 me hearties! ☠️

Planning your digital marketing calendar is a great rainy-day project for those tourism operators who are having a quieter patch right now. Pick the days and events from our download that resonate with you and your business, gather up digital assets and content, use Canva to design your posts AND then schedule it all up in Meta Business ready to go! And shhhhhh don't tell anyone but next year you can recycle the same scheduled posts again - maybe just add a new pearl of wisdom or piccie or two. 🙊😉

You can double-check Simon got his dates right and find more info on 'days' here.

And remember just because 'everyone' else is posting about International Poop Emoji Day - that doesn't mean you have to. Pick and choose what you talk about. Be authentic and genuine in your posts - and reflect your brand voice and your culture. If you're posting on your socials consistently a couple of times a week as a small-to-medium tourism operator - you're doing a great job - and not saturating people's feeds with 'stuff' that doesn't cut through.

While you can try to game the timing of posts - if you've just snapped a great pic of your crew or guests having a ball - get it out there! Timeliness and authenticity over quantity.

Do make sure you have appropriate permissions or consent from guests, staff or third parties to use any images or 'digital assets' - and always, always acknowledge your team members in any posts that feature them (first names are good!). We're also working hard on our image descriptions here after inspiration from Lauren McEwan Head of Content from Vacayit!

If we can help with any other ideas or support - just reach out. 🙌
